Congratulations to Our Newly Elected Officers!

We’re delighted to welcome and congratulate our newly elected board members, Bonnie Gardner as Vice President, and Nancy Robinson as Secretary! Chosen by our members during the September in-person meeting, these ladies will bring a wealth of passion and commitment to the mission of OWRL beginning January 1, 2026. We’re excited to work alongside them and look forward to the energy, ideas, and heart they will bring in the year ahead. Bonnie Gardner | Vice President

Bonnie Gardner is deeply committed to honoring those who have served our country, inspired by her late husband of 48 years, a Vietnam Veteran who wished to receive Military Honors at his funeral. Choosing the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery as the final resting place for her husband was a way to honor his service with the dignity it deserved. While attending a Memorial Day service at the cemetery, Bonnie met the OWRL, and our mission—“No veteran to be buried alone”—resonated deeply with her. Moved by our commitment, she joined OWRL to ensure that every veteran is honored and remembered.

Nancy Robinson | Secretary

Nancy Robinson retired from Caterpillar in Pulaski, Virginia, where she worked as a buyer. With a lifelong commitment to volunteerism, she has dedicated countless hours to giving back to her community. Coming from a family with a deep military tradition—her father served in the Army during World War II, her husband in the Air Force, her brother in the Marines during the Vietnam War, and many uncles and cousins serving in various branches—Nancy has a profound respect for those who have served. She volunteers at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to honor and support veterans, ensuring that no one who served is ever laid to rest alone. Through her work, she expresses gratitude for their sacrifices and helps preserve their legacy.
